Cantus Christi

We own three copies of this hymnal. I was astonished today to look on Amazon.com and find them going for $100+.

Not sure why anyone would spend that kind of money when they could get them from Canon Press for $19.

I love that hymnal. Great stuff in it.

  1. Matt,

There is something weird going on with online sales of used books. Some books that are difficult to get hold of are being offered for insane prices, but there’s no evidence that anyone is paying them. I’ve wanted to buy a copy of Gene Logsdon’s Small-Scale Grain Raising, and ABEBooks notifies me when a new copy becomes available, but the price has ranged anywhere from $150 to $1000.

Maybe it’s akin to spam. It only takes one stupid person to make it worth your while to offer something at a crazy price.
