Ezekiel Turns 7

Ezekiel, AKA “ZZ”, had his birthday party on Saturday, with his friends Ben, Etienne, and Bryson. Sora, who has always had a flair for clever themed parties, decided that since ZZ has been enjoying C.S. Lewis’ Narnia books, we should have a Narnia party.

The party started with a game of freeze-tag in our 20×20 family room. In each round, one child was designated to be the White Which and tag the others with her wand (a wooden spoon covered in foil), turning them to stone. Another was selected to be Aslan, and bring them to life again by breathing on them:

After that, we had a game of “pin the tail on Reepicheep”:

Not shown in this picture is the tail affixed about 2 feet to the right, on the bare wall, placed by one very disoriented and blindfolded guest.

Then there was the Cair Paravel cake:

  1. It looks like a wonderful time for all! Let the world know that the guinea pig on the kitchen table is a toy, not real!

  2. Great fun ideas, Colvins. What flavor was the cake?

  3. Chocolate, if my memory serves.
