LUXURIES

While Sora was in the Philippines, she got (for next to nothing) a genuine pearl necklace, something I’ve been wanting to buy for her for years. This morning, she was dressed for church, and I was admiring her while Ezekiel and Naomi ate their oatmeal for breakfast.

“Wow. Those pearls look great on you,” I said. “I should buy fewer model cars and more jewelry.”

Ezekiel, hearing this, looked up with a puzzled look on his face and asked, “Why?”

  1. Ezekiel might have been thinking of Cornelia’s jewel and didn’t think another sibling was needed. That is in the first ECCE ROMANI book, I believe, and he might be using it this year!

  2. That was a lovely necklace. I saw it, but forgot to say anything.
