Sermon: “Faith and Striving with God” (21st Trinity)

I apologize for the paucity of posts on this blog of late. I haven’t had much time for study or contemplation, and what time I have had for those things has been devoted to making sermons. Here’s the latest, from this morning, on Genesis 15:1-6 (Abram complains that God has not given him an heir) and John 4:46ff (Jesus heals the nobleman’s son at a distance).

Many thanks to the Rev. Paul Howden for welcoming our family to Grace Reformed Episcopal Church in Scranton, PA, and for allowing me to speak these words to his congregation.
